Freebies at Disneyland and California Adventure

I know Disneyland is very pricey, and everyone expects to spend quite a bit of money while visiting the parks. After years of being an annual pass holder I have found some really cool freebies that some people may have not known, I hope this post helps you score some amazing free souvenirs.

 Disneyland

 1. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster photo - When you exit the Astro Blaster ride there are screens that display your photo, and instead of just having the option to buy it (like other attractions) you can actually email yourself the photo for free!

 2. Jungle Cruise Map -  You can get the map either at the end of the attraction by asking a skipper for one, or just go near the exit and ask for one.

3. Sample of the Mint Julep - You can get a sample at the Mint Julep Bar, before buying it. This is a great option if haven't tasted it before or you just a small craving for it.

Disney California Adventure

1. The Buena Vista Bugle - This free newspaper is available at the Chamber of Commerce and on racks near the Red Car Trolley station.

2. Sample of Ghiradelli Chocolate - At the entrance their is usually a castmember handing out free samples of chocolate. Depending on the time of year they have different types, for Easter they have have ones with bunnies or egg shaped chocolate.

3. Sample of Sourdough Bread - You can get a small sample of the sourdough bread used for Disney's clam chowder and gumbo. Located at the Pacific Wharf you can take a Bakery Tour and at the entrance is where you get the sample.

4.A Senior Wilderness Explorer Sticker - Head over to Reedwood Creek and find a castmember to get started!

5. Character Drawing - Enjoy a unique opportunity to draw your very own Disney character sketch. However this is only offered at certain times of the day, be sure to check out the Disney website for times.

Both Parks
1. Buttons - Disney has many type of celebrating buttons. You can get them at City Hall in Disneyland and at the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure.

2. Autographs - This one of those that are obviously free. Just be sure to get a Character Schedule at the Main Gate entrance, or ask a custodial castmember for one, so you don't miss out on your favorite character!
